Job summary

TeacherActive is supporting a highly regarded grammar school in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, by recruiting an experienced History Teacher for full-time cover from 25 September to around 9 November 2026. You will deliver engaging lessons across KS3, KS4 and A-Level to keep students motivated and progressing.

The role offers PAYE payroll, competitive daily rates (£170-£250), and a supportive environment with CPD and a dedicated consultant team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with History specialty.
• Proven experience teaching History across KS3, KS4 and A-Level.
• Strong subject knowledge with ability to deliver engaging, challenging lessons.
• Excellent classroom management and high teaching standards.

Salary:£170 - £250 per day (depending on experience)

The school is looking to appoint a History Teacher on a full-time basis from 25th September until approximately 9th November 2026. The successful History Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and A-Level, ensuring students remain motivated, challenged and supported throughout their learning.

The successful History Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a History specialism
• Proven experience teaching History across KS3, KS4 and A-Level
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, challenging lessons
• Excellent classroom management skills
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning
• The ability to quickly build positive relationships with students and staff
