Job summary

A local nursery in Grays is seeking a full-time Level 3 Qualified Practitioner to join their team. This role involves a strong passion for outdoor learning, implementing the EYFS, and creating child-led activities in a safe environment. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Implement the EYFS and child planning cycles.

Job description

We are currently looking for an outstanding full time Level 3 Qualified Practitioner to join our setting. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a strong team at a unique nursery. Set in beautiful woodland surroundings, the selected educator will need to have a strong passion for outdoor learning in a natural environment as the philosophy of the setting is based around Forest Schools.

Responsibilities
  • Have a sound knowledge of the new EYFS and child development, and the assessment and planning cycle
  • Have a passion for working with groups in the 2-5 year old range
  • Offer unique and creative experiences and activities, based on individual children's interests and specific next steps
  • Have an understanding and ability to put into practice safeguarding policies and procedures for every child
  • Offer sensitive care through the implementation of an effective key person approach
  • Ensure a safe and stimulating child-led environment, both indoors and outdoors
  • Apply consistent behaviour management strategies
  • Ensure every child, family and colleague matters by implementing inclusive practise and working in partnership with families
  • Potential to lead a small team if / when required
  • Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team

You must hold a Childcare and Education qualification equivalent to Level 3. A current First Aid certificate and being up to date across all core training would be desirable.

In line with safer recruitment procedures this position requires an enhanced DBS check and references will be taken up prior to interviews.

Wage brackets according to age and experience.
