Job summary

Metropolitan Thames Valley seeks an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead assurance, governance and compliance activities that support safe, effective and high-quality services for our residents. You will coordinate assurance for regulatory compliance, manage audit programmes and oversee self-assessments, turning findings into actionable improvements.

You will analyse trends and performance data to provide independent insight, challenge leaders and strengthen services.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a regulated environment with responsibility for quality assurance, governance, compliance or audit.
• Proven management experience within quality assurance, audit, governance, service improvement or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, ideally within housing, social care or a similarly regulated sector.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and translate findings into meaningful recommendations.
• Experience leading audits, investigations, reviews and organisational learning activities.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to influence and challenge constructively at all levels.
• A commitment to fairness, transparency and evidence-based decision making.
• A proven ability to drive improvement through assurance findings, insight and learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality assurance frameworks and coordinate assurance activity for regulatory compliance.
• Manage audit programmes, oversee self-assessments and lead learning from reviews, incidents and investigations.
• Turn quality, assurance and risk information into meaningful insight for informed decision-making.
• Monitor and report assurance actions and audit recommendations with clear visibility of progress and impact.
• Maintain independence and credibility of the assurance function through fair, transparent, evidence-led approaches.
• Influence and challenge leaders to strengthen services and outcomes for residents.
• Drive continuous improvement through assurance findings, insight and learning.
