Journey Recruitment Ltd is supporting a High Wycombe-based manufacturing and engineering business in their search for a newly created Purchasing Coordinator role. You will report to the Group Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager and play a key part in delivering an efficient purchasing function with opportunities to progress into management.

This hybrid role runs Monday to Friday, with occasional travel to the Dorset office.

Qualificações

• 3+ years' purchasing experience within manufacturing or engineering/distribution.
• ERP/MRP systems experience is essential.
• Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.
• Excellent analytical and Excel skills.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Responsabilidades

• Lead day-to-day purchasing activities.
• Manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, supplier acknowledgements and expediting.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve supply issues.
• Manage inventory availability while reducing excess and obsolete stock.
• Support ERP/MRP systems, including supplier data, lead times and planning parameters.
• Support sourcing, cost reduction and supplier negotiations.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Sales, Finance and Warehouse teams.
• Drive continuous improvement across purchasing processes.
• Deputise for the Purchasing Manager when required.
