Job summary

Confidential, a High Wycombe based manufacturing and engineering business, is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to join a growing team. Hybrid role, Mon-Fri 8:45am to 17:15pm, based in the office near High Wycombe with occasional travel to Dorset.

Qualifications

• 3+ years purchasing experience within manufacturing or engineering/distribution.
• Detailed experience with ERP/MRP systems is essential.
• Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.
• Excellent analytical and Excel skills.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• CIPS Level 4 or studying towards would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day purchasing activities.
• Manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, supplier acknowledgements and expediting.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve supply issues.
• Manage inventory availability while reducing excess and obsolete stock.
• Support ERP/MRP systems, including supplier data, lead times and planning parameters.
• Support sourcing, cost reduction and supplier negotiations.
• Work closely with Production, Engineering, Sales, Finance and Warehouse teams.
• Drive continuous improvement across purchasing processes.
• Deputise for the Purchasing Manager when required.
