Job summary

W Talent in Edenbridge is seeking a proactive Buyer to own purchasing, supplier relationships and inventory in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will have a background in Purchasing, Procurement, Buying, Supply Chain or planning, with ERP/MRP experience and strong Excel and negotiation skills.

Hybrid working is available; local candidates are encouraged to apply and you must have full UK right to work without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Experience within Purchasing, Procurement, Buying, Supply Chain or planning.
• Background in manufacturing, engineering or a similar operational environment.
• Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Business Central advantageous).
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Commercially aware with strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Raise, manage and expedite purchase orders.
• Build strong supplier relationships and resolve delivery, quality and invoice issues.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive service improvements.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times and commercial agreements.
• Maintain inventory levels while managing stock value.
• Produce purchasing and performance reports using Excel.
• Maintain accurate supplier and product data within ERP/MRP systems.
• Identify and deliver cost-saving opportunities.
• Support the sourcing and onboarding of new suppliers.
