Purchasing Assistant

Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with a passion for supply chain management? Our client is seeking a motivated Purchasing Assistant to join their team. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of their supply chain department.

Responsibilities
  • Managing the order process, including placing and monitoring purchase orders and maintaining electronic records.
  • Communicating with suppliers, expediting orders, following up on late deliveries, and confirming orders.
  • Providing analysis of supplier data, including delivery performance, quality and forecasts.
  • Supporting the supply chain team by assisting with initial set-up and providing general assistance as needed.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a purchasing role, with an understanding of supply chain processes.
  • High level of proficiency in IT and experience working with purchasing software.
  • A customer-focused mindset, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
