National Energy System Operator Limited (NESO) is seeking a Connections Stakeholder Officer (Publications) to own NESO's connections publications and guidance portfolio. You will plan, produce and maintain customer-facing guidance, coordinating subject matter experts to ensure content remains current and accessible throughout the connections process.

You will translate complex regulatory information into clear, engaging, and user-friendly material, and manage end-to-end publication workflows,

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing publications, document suites or knowledge resources within a complex, regulated or fast-paced environment.
• Strong publication production management skills, with experience coordinating multiple documents through drafting, review, approval, publication and ongoing maintenance processes.
• Excellent writing, copy editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate and accessible content for a range of audiences.
• Experience translating complex technical, regulatory or policy information into engaging, customer-focused guidance and communications.
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, contributors and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to coordinate subject matter experts, challenge unclear content and drive quality improvements.
• A strong customer focus, with a commitment to ensuring information is easy to understand, relevant and valuable to the end user.
• A proactive, collaborative approach and exceptional attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the Connections customer publications and guidance portfolio, ensuring customers have access to clear, accurate, accessible and up-to-date information throughout the connections process.
• Lead the planning, production and maintenance of customer-facing guidance, coordinating subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure content remains relevant, consistent and aligned with programme priorities.
• Translate complex technical, regulatory and policy information into clear, engaging and customer-focused content that supports understanding and informed decision making.
• Manage publication workflows from concept to delivery, including content development, copy editing, quality assurance, document production, publication scheduling and version control including customer testing.
• Coordinate the design and presentation of customer-facing publications, working with internal and external design resources to ensure materials meet NESO brand and accessibility standards.
• Establish and maintain effective publication governance, ensuring customer guidance is regularly reviewed, updated and improved in response to programme changes and customer feedback.
• Build strong relationships across NESO to gather content, challenge unclear messaging and champion high-quality customer communications and guidance.
