Job summary

National Energy System Operator (NESO) is seeking a Publications Officer (Publications) on a two-year fixed-term contract/secondment. You will own NESO's publications portfolio, coordinating content development, editing and publication scheduling to support the connections process.

Work with subject matter experts to translate complex regulatory information into clear, accessible guidance, manage governance and QA workflows, and ensure materials meet NESO branding and accessibility standards.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing publications in regulated environments.
• Strong production management with drafting, review, publication.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Ability translating complex regulatory information into understandable content.
• Excellent organization and multi-priority management.
• Strong stakeholder management and content quality focus.
• Customer-focused approach to information design.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage NESO's connections publications and guidance.
• Plan, produce and maintain customer-facing guidance.
• Translate complex information into clear, engaging content.
• Manage publication workflows from concept to delivery.
• Coordinate design and presentation with internal/external resources.
• Maintain publication governance and update content with feedback.
• Build relationships across NESO to source content and improve messaging.
