Sanderson Government & Defence is seeking an experienced Service Designer to join a high-profile public sector digital transformation programme. You will design end-to-end, user-centered services that are measurable and deliver improvements for users and the organisation.

Based in Worthing or Telford with a hybrid arrangement (2 days onsite per week), BPSS eligible, contract for 6 months, day rate up to £470 Inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering service design within complex environments.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end service design and user-centred design methodologies.
• Experience producing service blueprints, personas, journey maps, user flows and other key design deliverables.
• Ability to visualise and communicate complex services spanning multiple business areas.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
• Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and accessibility best practice.
• Comfortable working within multidisciplinary Agile teams.
• Ability to influence, challenge constructively and drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Experience coaching others and embedding design best practice.

Responsabilités

• Lead service design activities across complex digital services.
• Create high-quality service design artefacts including service blueprints, journey maps, personas, user flows and insight packs.
• Design accessible, user-centred services aligned to user needs and business objectives.
• Work across organisational boundaries to influence and drive successful design outcomes.
• Communicate service design recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Use storytelling, visualisation and design thinking techniques to bring research findings and opportunities to life.
• Identify opportunities to improve services and measure impact of design changes.
• Support design-led transformation through coaching, collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives.
