Job summary

Sanderson Government & Defence is seeking an experienced Service Designer to join a high-profile public sector digital transformation programme. You will design end-to-end, user-centered services that are measurable and deliver improvements for users and the organisation.

Based in Worthing or Telford with a hybrid arrangement (2 days onsite per week), BPSS eligible, contract for 6 months, day rate up to £470 Inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering service design within complex environments.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end service design and user-centred design methodologies.
• Experience producing service blueprints, personas, journey maps, user flows and other key design deliverables.
• Ability to visualise and communicate complex services spanning multiple business areas.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
• Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and accessibility best practice.
• Comfortable working within multidisciplinary Agile teams.
• Ability to influence, challenge constructively and drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Experience coaching others and embedding design best practice.

We're looking for an experienced Service Designer to join a high-profile digital transformation programme, helping to shape and deliver user-centred public services that are simpler, faster and more effective.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll collaborate closely with user researchers, interaction designers, content designers, performance analysts, developers, policy specialists and stakeholders to design end-to-end services that deliver measurable outcomes for users and the organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Experience working on large-scale government or public sector digital programmes
