Job summary

RBH Hospitality Management, operating the Crowne Plaza London Docklands in East London, is seeking a housekeeping team member to maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all public areas. You will respond to guest requests, support event setups, and uphold high standards of hygiene with a warm, professional attitude.

Experience is not essential as full training will be provided; a proactive approach and strong communication skills are valued.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and presentation of public areas including lobbies, restrooms, and elevators.
• Perform regular cleaning tasks: dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing surfaces.
• Monitor and restock supplies in restrooms and public spaces.
• Respond to guest requests for assistance with professionalism and courtesy.
• Report maintenance issues and safety hazards to supervisor.
• Assist in setting up for events and ensure public spaces are welcoming.

Job description

Maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and presentation of all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and elevators, ensuring they are inviting and meet high standards.

• Performing regular cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to keep all areas spotless and hygienic.
• Monitoring and restocking supplies like toiletries, towels, and sanitizers in restrooms and other public spaces.
• Responding promptly to guest requests for assistance or cleaning needs in public areas, providing excellent customer service and a warm, professional attitude.
• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or equipment needs to the supervisor to ensure a safe and well-functioning environment.
• Assisting in setting up for events and special occasions, ensuring public spaces are prepared and welcoming for all guests.
  Prior experience in cleaning or housekeeping roles is a plus, but not essential; full training will be provided.
• An eye for detail and a commitment to high cleanliness standards, ensuring all public spaces are immaculate and inviting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage professionally and courteously with guests and team members.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage time efficiently to complete tasks on schedule.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, and moving supplies as needed.
• A proactive attitude towards safety and the willingness to follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe environment.
