Job summary

RBH Hospitality Management is seeking a Casual Public Area Cleaner for our hotel in East London’s Royal Docks. You will keep lobbies, restrooms and public spaces clean, welcoming and well-presented.

Full training provided if needed. The role suits reliable individuals with a can-do attitude and strong attention to detail, able to work flexible hours on site.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in cleaning or housekeeping is a plus, but not essential; full training will be provided.
• Eye for detail and a commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, stay organized and manage time efficiently.
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
• Proactive attitude towards safety and health guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness and presentation of all public areas, including lobbies and restrooms.
• Dusting, vacuuming, mopping and sanitizing surfaces to keep areas hygienic.
• Restocking supplies in restrooms and public spaces.
• Responding to guest requests with a warm, professional attitude.
• Reporting maintenance issues to ensure a safe environment.
• Assisting in setup for events and special occasions.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PUBLIC AREA CLEANER (Casual) AT OUR HOTEL

What you'll be doing...

• Maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and presentation of all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and elevators, ensuring they are inviting and meet high standards.
• Performing regular cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to keep all areas spotless and hygienic.
• Monitoring and restocking supplies like toiletries, towels, and sanitizers in restrooms and other public spaces.
• Responding promptly to guest requests for assistance or cleaning needs in public areas, providing excellent customer service and a warm, professional attitude.
• Reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, or equipment needs to the supervisor to ensure a safe and well-functioning environment.
• Assisting in setting up for events and special occasions, ensuring public spaces are prepared and welcoming for all guests.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
