Overview

Psychology Graduate – Teaching Assistant (Clapham Junction). We are looking for a motivated Psychology graduate to join a welcoming primary school in Clapham Junction as a teaching assistant. In this role, you will support learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), working closely with teachers to help children thrive both academically and socially. This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology graduate who is passionate about child development, SEND support, and gaining valuable school-based experience.

  • Location: Primary school, Clapham Junction
  • Hours: 08:45 – 16:45
  • Role: Full-time, term-time only (permanent contract opportunity)
Responsibilities
  • Support learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), working closely with teachers to help children thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications
  • Psychology graduate
  • You must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face-to-face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role.
  • Safeguarding and compliance: you will be required to provide an up-to-date DBS, or be prepared to allow Axcis to process one on your behalf, in addition to other mandatory compliance checks in line with DfE guidelines (for details please see our website).
  • If the position involves working with children or vulnerable adults, this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
