First Bus Lowestoft Depot is seeking a qualified PSV/HGV Mechanic to join our busy workshop. The role involves diagnosing faults, performing repairs and servicing, and maintaining HGV/PSV fleets at Lowestoft.

We value NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in vehicle maintenance, a valid UK driving licence, and a strong attention to detail. A joining bonus is offered; health and travel benefits accompany a 5-of-7 shift pattern.

Competenze

• Level 3 NVQ/SVQ or City & Guilds equivalent in vehicle maintenance & repair.
• Experience on PSV/HGV vehicles is desirable.
• Valid UK driving licence is required.

Mansioni

Position: PSV/HGV Mechanic

Location: Lowestoft Depot, Gas works Road, Lowestoft, NR32 1UZ

We are now looking for an NVQ/SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualified PSV/HGV Mechanicto join the busy team at our First Bus Lowestoft Depot – PSV or HGV mechanical experience is great however we love to hear from ex-Forces personnel with an engineeringapprenticeship qualification, and experienced engineers from other automotive sectors looking for a change.

Key Details:

• £21.55 per hour
• Weekend premium rate of £22.19 per hour
• Minimum 39 hours per week
• Approx. £43,703 per annum
• 5 days over 7 (including weekends)
• Rotation of early and late shifts
• £2,000 JOINING BONUS!

In this hands-on role, you'll keep vehicles running safely and reliably by diagnosing faults, completing mechanical repairs and replacing parts when needed. You'll carry out scheduled servicing, routine inspections and preventative maintenance, as well as responding to on-road breakdowns and recoveries. You'll also road test vehicles where required and make sure all documentation is completed accurately and in line with regulations and health and safety standards.

What We're Looking For

• Do you have a Level 3 NVQ/SVQ or City & Guilds equivalent in vehicle maintenance & repair?
• Do you have experience working on HGV or PSV?
• Do you have a valid UK driving licence?
• Do you also have a strong attention to detail and a passion for mechanics?
