We are recruiting for a proposals manager to join our busy Growth Team.

This is a home-based role.

Job Description

What you'll be doing :

  • Lead the development of high-quality written proposals that meet customer requirements, align with strategic objectives, and maximize Capita’s Probability of Winning (“PWIN”).
  • Facilitate or lead Win Strategy workshops to define and drive effective sales strategies, including competitor evaluation and differentiation, translating into compelling Proposal Storyboards.
  • Collaborate with Capture Directors and Bid Management leads to craft compelling narratives aligned with win strategies.
  • Manage content from Subject Matter Experts to produce high-quality submissions aligned with customer tenders, Capita’s Win Strategy, and branding.
  • Coach and mentor Subject Matter Experts in crafting persuasive bid responses, including developing training materials and best practice guides.
  • Lead proposal reviews such as ‘Red Team’ to ensure bids are compliant and compelling.
  • Edit and proofread draft materials to professional standards and bid writing best practices.
  • Format proposals to a highly professional standard, resolving complex formatting issues.

What we're looking for :

  • Ability to work independently in a high-challenge, complex environment, while also supporting others when needed.
  • Strong persuasive writing skills and understanding of Proposal Management principles, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective relationship-building skills with colleagues, suppliers, and partners for collaborative working.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, especially Microsoft Word.
  • Excellent prioritization and attention to detail when managing conflicting priorities.
