Property Litigation Solicitor / Legal Executive

Location: Manchester

Salary: 35,000 - 60,000

Working Pattern: Full-time Permanent

About the Role

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Solicitor, Legal Executive or experienced Paralegal with a strong background in property litigation to join a growing team at a leading full‑service law firm.

This is a chance to work within a dynamic collaborative department led by a nationally recognised partner. You’ll manage a varied caseload with autonomy while benefiting from expert guidance and exposure to high‑quality work across both property and private litigation.

Your key responsibilities will include
  • Case Management: Independently manage a diverse caseload of property litigation matters; handle a broad spectrum of disputes with confidence; manage cases from instruction through to resolution; ensure all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
  • Legal Advisory: Provide strategic legal advice to a varied client base; advise on complex property disputes and litigation strategy; offer clear guidance on legal options and likely outcomes; keep clients informed throughout the litigation process.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues across contentious probate and private litigation; work closely with the nationally recognised partner leading the department; share knowledge and expertise across the team; contribute to the development of the department.
  • Dispute Resolution: Handle overage disputes; manage easement matters; deal with lease renewals, dilapidations, forfeiture and relief; conduct possession claims (residential and commercial); resolve service charge disputes; advise on leasehold enfranchisement; manage co‑ownership disputes.
  • Professional Excellence: Demonstrate strong drafting and negotiation skills; manage high‑pressure situations and tight deadlines confidently; maintain technical excellence across all matters; keep up to date with changes in property law and litigation practice.
Essential Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or experienced Paralegal who has carried a caseload or equivalent legal experience in property litigation.
  • Strong background in property litigation matters.
  • Proven track record of managing cases independently.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Confidence in managing high‑pressure situations and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to handle a broad spectrum of property disputes.
  • Excellent client care and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
Desirable
  • Experience across multiple areas of property litigation (overage, easements, lease renewals, possession claims, etc.)
  • Knowledge of contentious probate or private litigation.
  • Court experience and advocacy skills.
