Job description

Job Title:
Property Claims Handler

Location:
Oldham (Office Based)

Salary:
£24,500 - £27,000 (DOE)

Days of work:
Monday to Friday


We are seeking a proactive and empathetic Claims Handler to manage property damage claims from notification through to settlement for one of our key clients based in Oldham.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage claims end-to-end, ensuring timely progress and customer satisfaction
  • Liaise with all stakeholders to gather information and provide updates
  • Appoint and coordinate contractors, ensuring compliance with service standards
  • Assess claims using technical knowledge, site data, and documentation
  • Draft clear, accurate reports for insurer liability decisions
  • Continuously seek improvements in process and service delivery
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry regulations
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience in property insurance claims handling
  • Solid understanding of relevant legislation and industry protocols
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organised, detail-focused, and capable of managing deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Cert CII (or equivalent) desirable
  • Self-motivated team player with a solutions-focused mindset
