Job summary

Single Homeless Project is hiring a Project Worker for Stacey Street service in Islington. You will support adults who have experienced homelessness to achieve stability and move toward independent living in a busy hostel environment.

The role involves working with residents facing mental health, trauma, or justice-system challenges, using strengths-based planning and clear risk management to help goals and progress.

Qualifications

• Non-judgemental, strengths-based approach to multi-disadvantaged clients.
• Strong team-working and interpersonal skills to collaborate across specialisms.
• Experience helping people set goals and supporting change, including crisis response.
• Good time management, initiative, and ability to handle competing priorities.
• Willingness to work early/late shifts, including some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support adults who have experienced homelessness to move toward independent living.
• Work in a busy hostel, building momentum toward stability and move-on.
• Engage with residents facing mental health, trauma, or justice-system challenges.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to provide timely support.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to a psychologically informed environment.
