Job summary

Stonepillow is recruiting for two Hostel Support Workers to support homeless adults, including those with mental health and substance misuse issues. You will manage case allocations, conduct risk assessments, and engage clients weekly through key work sessions to improve housing, health and wellbeing.

The role emphasizes promoting independence, signposting to services, and helping clients develop life skills such as personal care, cooking and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience supporting vulnerable adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage case allocation of clients.
• Conduct case management reviews including risk assessments.
• Actively engage with clients weekly in key work sessions to improve outcomes.
• Promote independence and signpost to services to support independent living.
• Manage and deescalate disputes or emergencies, recording incident reports.
