Job summary

Sanctuary Group is seeking a dedicated Project Worker to support people experiencing homelessness in Ipswich. The role focuses on building independence, assessing needs, and managing support plans while acting as the first point of contact for queries.

You will join a compassionate team, work with external partners, and help residents access education and employment opportunities. A not-for-profit ethos and people-first approach underpin daily work.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting adults who have experienced homelessness.
• Good literacy and numeracy; strong organisational skills.
• Positive, flexible and enthusiastic approach.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
• Proficient IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar).

Your role

• Support customers who have experienced homelessness to build independence and reach their potential
• Assess needs and update support plans

(This role is sometimes also referred to as Support Worker, Support Assistant, or Independent Living Assistant).
