A leading civil engineering company in Guildford is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their Highways Division. The role involves managing site staff, preparing project plans, and ensuring timely completion of projects. Ideal candidates will have experience with a main contractor, relevant qualifications like HND/HNC/BEng, and preferably a Temporary Works Coordinator status. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager in our Highways Division working on all elements of highways works (carriageway construction, surfacing, waterproofing structures, expansion joints, drainage, parapets, VRS, Ducting etc).
Ideally you will be located close to Guilford area and be willing to cover the National Highways Area which could include Hampshire and Oxford.
The successful candidate will need to have experience working for a main contractor on projects which should include highways. We’re after a team player who has excellent communication and people skills and has the ability to manage change.
Already experienced as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager, you will have a relevant industry qualification (HND / HNC / BEng) or equivalent, be a Temporary Works Coordinator and possess an up-to-date SMSTS qualification, and appropriate CSCS card. A First Aid at work qualification is desirable. Knowledge of NEC contracts and incorporated Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) membership would also be an advantage.
