Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking a Project Manager to lead retrofit projects in the North West, potentially based in Preston or Manchester. You will ensure client requirements are embedded in delivery, manage on-site teams and liaise with clients to maintain progress.

The role requires a strong background in social housing refurbishment, knowledge of PAS regulations, and certifications such as CSCS/SMSTS, First Aid, plus a driving licence. Retrofit experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Embed client requirements across project delivery with value and quality.
• Assist Site Manager with on-site issues and reporting.
• Maintain regular client liaison and represent the company on site.
• Attend senior management meetings and track site progression.
• Discuss buildability and design issues as they arise.
• Lead Health & Safety initiatives and compliance.
• Program and plan works; devise build programmes.
• Recruit staff and coordinate trades and labour.
• Ensure KPIs are achieved across projects.

Job description

A well-established and rapidly expanding Social Housing Contractor are currently looking to recruit a Project Manager to join them on a permanent basis.

The company have gone from strength to strength each year and have an exciting growth plan in place, with a healthy pipeline of work across the North West region.

The company specialise in retrofit and decarbonisation to tenanted Social Housing properties, with a goal to reduce fuel poverty and the carbon footprint.

They are a seeking a Project Manager to join them on a permanent basis, this will either be based on a site in Preston or in Manchester. Each project has several work streams within it and the company are completing various retrofit measures on each project. Typical works will consist of EWI, Air Source Heat Pump Installation, Windows and Doors, IWI, Roofline works.

Responsibilities of a Project Manager:

• Embedding the client's requirements in every aspect of the project, offering the clients added value to give them the assurance that they can trust the Contractor in providing a quality start-to-finish delivery
• Assisting the Site Manager with any problems or concerns on site
• Regular liaison with the client, discussing progress and acting as the company representative
• Senior management meetings on progression of sites making sure directors are aware of each development
• Discussing build-ability and design issues
• Managing and championing Health & Safety
• Programming and planning all works
• Devising a build programme
• Recruitment of staff, organising trades and labour
• Ensuring KPI's are being achieved

The successful Project Manager must have:

• A strong background in the social housing refurbishment sector/decarbonisation sector with knowledge of working under PAS regulations.
• CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid, Drivers License
• Retrofit experience
