Project Manager

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week Salary: From £40,000 DOE Location: Ipswich

Role Overview

We’re supporting a local client who are looking for a Project Manager to lead and coordinate commercial projects that improve sales, efficiency, and customer experience. This role ensures smooth delivery of category changes, product updates, and strategic initiatives through structured planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver commercial projects from start to finish, managing timelines, risks, and dependencies.
  • Work with commercial teams to turn trading plans into actionable briefs.
  • Analyse data to support decisions and provide post-project reviews.
  • Act as the link between Commercial, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Technology, and suppliers.
  • Support system updates, pricing changes, product launches, and category transitions.
  • Prepare stores for change with clear guidance and communication.
  • Manage risks and elevate issues promptly to minimise impact.
  • Contribute to process improvements and governance within the commercial function.
Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Project management or coordination experience in retail, FMCG, or similar.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and analyse data effectively.
  • Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of merchandising, buying, or supply chain.
  • Familiarity with retail systems and project management frameworks.
  • Project management qualifications (e.g., Prince2, Agile).
