Job summary

Journey Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Project and Events Coordinator to support our client in the media publishing sector. The role blends project coordination with events delivery, and you will shape educational programmes from conception to publication.

This hybrid role requires 1–3 years' experience in projects or events, strong stakeholder management, and excellent communication. The office is in Bourne End, with hybrid work twice per week, and the salary is up to £36,000.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–3 years experience as a Project Coordinator or events professional
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent
  • Adept at developing effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of medical promotional projects, events and educational programmes from inception through to publication
  • Organisation of educational content creation, incl. interviews, webinars, symposia, round tables and filming
  • Planning and executing publishing projects to deliver high-quality content within scope, brief and budget
  • Internal stakeholder management across account managers, medical writers, Marketing and AV teams to ensure best-in-class content
  • Client management throughout the delivery cycle with transparency and adherence to project plans
  • Collaborate with Scientific Director for programme development and educational objectives

Job description

Are you looking for a new challenge within events and projects? If so, this could be the perfect role for you! Our fantastic client are looking for a Project and Events Coordinator to join their Projects team. The client works within the media publishing sector who support the development of professionals. You will be passionate about event delivery with an ambition to play an integral role in shaping this dynamic business. If you have experience within medical communications, events or publishing this would be an advantage but not essential.


This is a hybrid role working in the Bourne End office twice per week. The salary for this hybrid role is up to £36,000.


Main responsibilities for the Project & Events Coordinator:


  • Delivery of medical promotional projects, events and educational programmes from inception through to publication.

  • Organisation and management of educational content creation, including but not exclusive to: interviews, webinars, symposia, round tables and peer-to-peer discussions (filmed virtually and on-site)

  • Planning and executing publishing projects to ensure they deliver the highest quality content within scope, brief and budget.

  • Internal stakeholder management throughout the delivery phase - including, but not exclusive to, account managers, medical writers, and Marketing, Education, and Audio-Visual teams - to ensure the creation of best-in-class content.

  • Stakeholder management

  • Client management throughout the delivery cycle, to ensure transparency and adherence to project plans and operating procedures

  • To work with the Scientific Director, where required, for programme development and adherence to educational objectives.


Skills required for the Project & Events Coordinator:


  • A minimum of one to three years' experience working as a Project Coordinator or events professional-ideally with a medical communications, events, publishing or agency background. (This is not essential)

  • First-class non-technical project coordination skills with a proven track record of delivering a number of projects

  • Qualified to degree level or equivalent.

  • Adept at developing effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Outstanding communication and inter-personal skills.

  • The ability to multi-task and work on several complex client projects simultaneously

  • The ability to prioritise a heavy workload and work to tight deadlines

  • Self motivated and able to work without detailed supervision.

  • A 'team player' mindset.
