Job summary

Eaton, Mission Systems Division (MSD), is seeking a Project Engineer to drive mechanical and systems engineering across the product lifecycle. You will translate customer requirements into a total project solution, coordinate with suppliers and customers, and manage changes to preserve system integrity throughout the lifecycle.

You will plan engineering tasks, lead design gate reviews, and work with airworthiness and safety teams to ensure milestones are met.

Qualifications

• You will hold an engineering degree.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electro-mechanical, fluid, mechanisms or systems product development.
• Appreciation for the engineering product life cycle.
• You are a natural problem solver with a solutions-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• The use of mechanical and/or systems engineering knowledge within a product lifecycle.
• Executing all stages of system lifecycle including requirements management, validation, design, development, integration, verification and qualification.
• Planning engineering tasks and generating engineering management plans.
• Converting customer and stakeholder requirements to define and inform the total project solution.
• Engaging with suppliers and customers to ensure the solution meets expectations.
• Managing engineering change to maintain system integrity and traceability.
• Providing support across the product lifecycle and delivering an integrated solution.
• Planning and scheduling design gate reviews, and coordinating with airworthiness and safety functions.
• Managing technical risks and opportunities impacting project delivery.
• Liaising with engineering leadership and programme management to ensure adequate resourcing.
• Driving continuous improvement with effective systems engineering practices.
