Job summary

Eaton Group is seeking a seasoned project engineering leader to drive multi-disciplinary development across electronics, software and mechanical disciplines. You will shape design reviews, liaise with manufacturing and lead safety-critical development efforts to DO-178/DO-254 and ARP4754 standards.

The role requires a degree in engineering or science and extensive defence/aerospace experience, including MBSE tools and DOORS.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or science discipline.
• Experience leading, systems, software or electronics engineering.
• Broad understanding of electronics, software, systems and mechanical disciplines.
• Experience designing/testing to military or civil aerospace environmental standards.
• Safety-critical development per DO-178/DO-254 and ARP4754.
• Extensive experience leading complex projects with software/electronics/systems elements.
• Background in Defence or Aerospace industries.
• Experience with UK Land vehicle Defence Standards (DEF STAN 59-411, 61-05, 00-35).
• SOI audits and certification reviews experience.
• MBSE experience with Enterprise Architect or Rhapsody.
• DOORS requirements management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver engineering development.
• Balance demands, assess customer requirements and prioritise workload.
• Plan, coordinate and present at design reviews.
• Provide technical interface with manufacturing and other functions.
• Support customer, partner and strategic supplier meetings.
• Author Engineering Development Plans and Declarations of Performance.
• Present project status to the Project Engineering Team Leader and Head of Engineering.
• Maintain awareness of PCS products within the competitive landscape.
