Eaton - Mission Systems Division in Wimborne seeks a Senior Project Engineer to apply mechanical and systems engineering within a complete product lifecycle. You will manage requirements, design, development, integration, verification, and qualification, coordinating with suppliers and customers to ensure delivery meets expectations.

The role involves risk management, change control, and continuous improvement across multi-disciplinary teams.

Formación

• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Experience in a requirements management tool would be beneficial.
• Proven ability to work across product lifecycle.

Responsabilidades

• Use mechanical and/or systems engineering knowledge within a product lifecycle.
• Execute all stages of system lifecycle: requirements, validation, design, development, integration, verification, qualification.
• Plan engineering tasks and generate engineering management plans.
• Translate customer requirements into a total project solution.
• Engage with suppliers and customers to ensure solutions meet expectations.
• Manage engineering change and ensure traceability of design decisions.
• Support all areas of the product lifecycle with integrated solutions.
• Schedule design gate reviews and coordinate with airworthiness and safety teams.
• Identify technical risks and opportunities affecting project delivery.
• Collaborate with leadership and programme management to resource projects.
• Drive continuous improvement in systems engineering practices.

What you'll do:

Eaton - Mission Systems Division (MSD) is the world's leading provider of hose and drogue Air-to-Air Refuelling (AAR) and Actuation systems. Eaton work directly with the aircraft manufacturers and end-users to develop systems that achieve their operations in challenging environments, safely and successfully

• As a Senior Project Engineer, your main responsibilities will involve:

• The use of mechanical and/or systems engineering knowledge and processes within a product lifecycle.

• Executing all stages of system lifecycle like, requirements management, validation, systems design, development, integration, verification and qualification as per the company standard

• processes and customer requirements

• Being responsible for planning the engineering tasks and generation of engineering management plans

• Converting customer and other stakeholder requirements to define, analyse and inform the total project solution.

• To engage with suppliers and customers to ensure the solution meets their expectations.

• Managing engineering change to ensure system integrity all through the life-cycle, and ensuring traceability of all key design decisions.

• Providing support in all areas of the product lifecycle and deliver a totally integrated solution.

• Planning and scheduling engineering design gate reviews, engage with other functions e.g. airworthiness, safety to ensure the project delivery milestones are fully met.

• Managing technical risks and opportunities that may have a direct / indirect effect on the delivery of the project and system.

• Liaising with the engineering leadership and programme management teams to ensure the project is adequately resourced and support to identify any potential capability shortfalls

• Driving continuous improvement and incorporate effective systems engineering management practices

Qualifications:

• Engineering degree or equivalent with at least 5 years experience

• Experience in a requirements management tool like DOORS / CRADLE would be beneficial

Skills:

• You will have experience in one or more of the following - mechanical, electro mechanical, fluid, mechanisms, structures or systems product development.

• You are motived and proactive, driving solutions to completion.

• You will have comprehensive appreciation and understanding of the engineering product life cycle.

• You have an appreciation for Systems Engineering Management.

• Have held engineering sign off for documents.

• You are a natural problem solver, with a solutions focussed mindset
