Job summary

Balfour Beatty's Power Transmission & Distribution seeks a Cost Controller for the ASTI Project in the UK. You will assist the project team with cost queries, validate costs, allocate costs correctly and run weekly reports to support forecasts and audits.

The role offers flexible working with up to 40% remote work where roles allow, and requires travel to sites as needed, along with collaboration across finance teams and external contractors.

• Gain understanding of Oracle R12 CVR (link between Commercial Project reporting and Financial project reporting)

Responsibilities

• Assist the project team with cost queries and validation of costs.
• Support Commercial function by ensuring correct cost allocation and running of weekly cost reports.
• Variance analysis of actual vs forecast costs.
• Monitor and track costs.
• Interfaces with Senior Finance Manager, Site Project Team, HR and BB Newcastle and wider finance teams.
• Liaising with External Suppliers and Contractors.
• Working with Clients stakeholders to facilitate audits monthly/quarterly provide samples of costs to enable audits and validation.
• Support Finance Manager and Commercial Lead in any ad-hoc analysis.
