Job summary

Balfour Beatty is seeking a Cost Controller for the ASTI Project within its Power Transmission & Distribution teams in the UK. The role focuses on cost queries, validation, and accurate cost allocation to support weekly reports and audits.

You will liaise with the Senior Finance Manager, project teams, and external parties, with site travel as required and a push toward flexible office/project-based work. Strong IT and Oracle R12 skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project team with cost queries and validation of costs.
• Support Commercial by ensuring correct cost allocation and weekly reports.
• Perform variance analysis of actual vs forecast costs.
• Monitor and track costs across the project.
• Support Senior Finance Manager and project staff with ad-hoc analysis.
• Coordinate with Site Project Team, HR and broader finance teams.
• Interface with external suppliers and contractors.
• Assist client stakeholders to facilitate audits and provide cost samples.
