Job summary

Balfour Beatty's Power Transmission & Distribution team seeks a Cost Controller for the ASTI project in the UK. You will assist with cost queries, validate costs and run weekly reports, while performing variance analyses and monitoring project spend. Collaboration with senior finance and site teams is essential.

The role offers flexibility between project and office work with site travel required. Strong IT literacy and driving licence are preferred to support governance and audits.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost management for large projects.
• Able to work to tight timescales.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Willing to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project team with cost queries and validation.
• Support Commercial by allocating costs and running weekly cost reports.
• Perform variance analysis of actual vs forecast costs.
• Monitor and track project costs.
• Liaise with Senior Finance Manager, Site Project Team, HR and other finance colleagues.
• Provide cost samples for audits and validation.
• Support ad-hoc analysis; flexible between project/office-based with site travel.
