Job summary

St Basils, a leading youth homelessness charity in the UK, is seeking a Progression Coach to support young people facing homelessness in Birmingham. You will help build confidence, life skills and independent living through personalised plans and ongoing encouragement.

Join a multidisciplinary team in a psychologically informed environment, delivering activities, maintaining records and safeguarding as a core priority.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people or vulnerable adults within housing, youth work, social care, education or a similar environment.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with clients and colleagues.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding, equality, inclusion and person-centred support.

Responsibilities

• Create personalised support plans with young people to help them overcome challenges and achieve goals.
• Provide practical guidance, emotional support and encouragement to build confidence and resilience.
• Support smooth transition to accommodation, education, employment or training, celebrating milestones.
