Programme Manager

Department: Severn Trent Water

Employment Type: Full Time

Location: Derby (Celanese Road)

Compensation: £35,000 - £40,000 / year

Description

We require an experienced Programme Manager to oversee Reactive and Maintenance works. The successful candidate will be based across the Severn Trent Water region and reporting into the Programme Delivery Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • The Programme Manager shall ensure that all works promoted by the Client’s Operational Teams contain the required information for accurate delivery on the 7DP before being scheduled, including:
  • Clear problem identification and required repair scope.
  • Accurate location details, asset information, and supporting survey data.
  • Customer information, including potential access requirements and restrictions.
  • Traffic management requirements
  • Health & safety considerations and environmental constraints
  • Assigning TMO's (Traffic Management Operatives) onto jobs and notifying them of planned work
  • Ensuring that works which do not meet the required matrix to allow effective planning and right first-time delivery are not programmed and are rejected back to STW for further promotion information
  • Approving aborts
  • Review previous day works for permit start/stop compliance (& action were not adhered to)
  • Transfer data into job notes in SAP to support when attending in the future, and using a reporting system for the client
Experience and Qualifications
  • Strong Programme Management Skills.
  • Skills, knowledge, and experience of CDM and Construction Management in the capacity of Principle Contractor.
  • Strong Technical understanding Water Networks
  • Experience of working on NEC4 style contracts.
  • Track record of delivery of project portfolios.
  • Strong commercial, financial and analytical skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to be able to respond rapidly to unexpected events, having the ability to develop creative solutions to problems.
  • Excellent IT skills and relevant knowledge of Planning Software including MS Project.
  • HNC/HND or degree or equivalent experience, SMSTS and Association of Project Management APM preferable but not essential
