WSR is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our esteemed client based in Milton Keynes.

Location: Milton Keynes

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:30am to 4:30pm, with a 3:30pm finish on Friday

Production Supervisor Job Overview

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will lead manufacturing operations within the warehouse/factory team, ensuring efficiency and smooth functioning. This role requires effective team leadership in a fast-paced environment, overseeing manufacturing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. A solid background in manufacturing or warehousing and proven leadership experience are essential. You will be part of the operational leadership team, contributing ideas to enhance performance through collaboration.

Operational Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership: Manage and motivate the production team, ensuring deadlines are met and acting as an inspirational leader.
2. Lean Manufacturing: Apply LEAN principles to improve processes.
3. Quality Control: Oversee quality assurance, investigate non-conformances, and ensure accurate production.
4. Problem Solving: Support Kaizen events and proactively address production issues.
5. 5S Standards: Maintain and improve 5S standards within the team.
6. Order Fulfillment: Ensure timely production and dispatch of orders.
7. Stock Management: Conduct monthly stock takes and record all stock items accurately.
8. Team Support: Participate in team management, including return-to-work meetings, morale, reviews, and appraisals.
9. Safety and Compliance: Promote safety culture and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
10. Work Independently and as a Team: Demonstrate ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
11. Motivation and Coaching: Inspire and develop team members to achieve operational goals.

Essential qualifications include supervising a production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and knowledge of CNC machinery. The ideal candidate will be proactive, self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working under pressure.
