Job Objective:

The purpose of the Store Production/Department Supervisor is to oversee the production process and personnel, focusing on meeting production and sales goals.

Essential Functions:

  • Assign, direct, and ensure completion of daily tasks for the production/department team, including housekeeping.
  • Train new team members on production expectations and processes.
  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure product excellence.
  • Track and report production metrics regularly.
  • Participate in production processes as needed.
  • Proficiently use cash registers at applicable locations.
  • Implement strategies to meet product acquisition, production, and sales goals daily, weekly, and monthly.
  • Understand and communicate product goals.
  • Implement product rotation diligently.
  • Coordinate with personnel to place supply orders for upcoming processing days.
  • Support store maintenance and appearance, following safety procedures.
  • Prepare for the next day's production.
  • Enhance donor and shopper experiences.
  • Maintain communication with Store Management regarding operations, incidents, and concerns.
  • Foster understanding of policies and procedures among staff.
  • Address complaints and escalate issues to management.
  • Protect resources through product control procedures to prevent theft and spoilage.
  • Manage property, utility, and supply waste.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Addendum: Donation Area Supervisors
  • Sort, load, and unload trucks per policy, ensuring safety and order.
  • Receive and document donations, following center policies.
  • Inform donors about unacceptable materials courteously.
  • Power sort donations where applicable.
