The Production Supervisor is responsible for helping to plan, organize, coordinate, and control production within the department. The main responsibility is to ensure that goods and services are produced efficiently and are of the correct quantity, quality, and cost.

Duties/Responsibilities

1. Responsible for ensuring that H&S policy and correct PPE are adhered to on the shop floor
2. Responsible for the delivery of the production plan schedule
3. Responsible for ensuring that H&S measures are maintained
4. Ensuring that production is cost-effective (Cost per target)
5. Ensuring labor resource planning supports the production schedule
6. Ensuring that products are produced on time and of good quality
7. Responsible for deploying and managing 5S principles
8. Managing the team in line with company policies and goals
9. Identifying and implementing continuous improvement ideas within the section
10. Reviewing worker performance and addressing any issues
11. Identifying the team’s training needs

Previous experience/Skills

• Proficient in implementing Lean Manufacturing Techniques
• Mechanical maintenance qualification (advantageous)
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• SAP experience
