Job summary

ROSE & YOUNG RECRUITMENT LTD seeks an Operations and Sales Supervisor for a Corby-based manufacturing site. You will oversee the daily production and Sales Desk teams (10-15 people), ensuring safe, efficient operations and delivery of customer orders.

You will partner with the Operations Director to drive improvements, support staff development and uphold high standards of service and performance across both manufacturing and order processing.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or team leadership experience in manufacturing/engineering.
• Strong people management and communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads effectively.
• Practical approach to problem solving and decision making.
• Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and production systems.
• Ability to build strong working relationships across the business.

Responsibilities

• Support the Operations Director in day‑to‑day management of manufacturing operations and the Sales Desk.
• Lead, motivate and develop production and sales desk teams, fostering a positive, collaborative culture.
• Plan and prioritise workloads to meet production schedules and customer orders.
• Ensure the Sales Desk delivers excellent customer service with timely responses, quotations, orders and resolutions.
• Monitor Sales Desk performance and identify opportunities to improve responsiveness and accuracy.
• Lead continuous improvement activities to boost productivity, quality and efficiency across operations.
