Job summary

Rose & Young Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an Operations Supervisor for a world-leading manufacturer in Corby. The role leads Production/Machine Shop and Sales Administration teams, directing daily operations and driving improvements while ensuring safety and quality.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will plan workloads, monitor performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and order processing, collaborating with other departments to achieve

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• A strong track record in people management and communication.
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads effectively.
• A practical approach to problem solving and decision making.
• A passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the Operations Director in the day-to-day management of manufacturing Operations and the Sales Administration team.
• Lead, motivate and develop Production and Sales Administration, fostering a positive, collaborative culture.
• Plan workloads to ensure production schedules, customer orders and Sales Desk activities are completed on time.
• Ensure the Sales Desk delivers excellent customer service by meeting response times for inquiries, quotations and orders.
• Monitor Sales Desk performance and identify opportunities to improve responsiveness and accuracy.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to boost productivity, quality and efficiency.
• Communicate effectively between Production, Sales Administration and other departments to maintain performance.
• Provide regular feedback on team performance and improvement opportunities.
