Job summary

Travail Employment Group is seeking a Production Supervisor in Corby to lead the shop floor and drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the department.

You will supervise conveyor system manufacture, ensure work is done safely and to high quality standards, and support training and KPI communication on a fast‑paced production line.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or leading a team on the shop floor.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GA layouts.
• Understanding of BOMs and assembly processes.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly including torque settings.
• Awareness of hydraulics and pneumatics in production systems.
• Track record in high‑paced manufacturing with quality focus.

Responsibilities

• Plan resources to meet daily production targets.

• Coach operators and support cross‑functional skills.
• Champion QHSE standards and conduct audits/tours.
• Ensure ISO 45001, 9001 and 14001 compliance.

• Assist with recruitment and promotions.

Production Supervisor

Corby - Northamptonshire UK

£16.50 per hour rising after 6 months

Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30 Friday 07:30 - 13:30

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Production Supervisor to join our client in Corby. Our client are a company with over 20 year's experience producing premium, durable products that help customers work smarter, safer, and more efficiently.This is a hands‑on leadership role where you'll set the pace, uphold QHSE requirements, and support continuous improvement across the department. The Role

Reporting to and supporting the Production Manager you will be responsible for supervising the manufacture of conveyor systems, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan resources effectively to meet daily production targets
• Ensure products are assembled, inspected and documented in line with SOPs and engineering drawings
• Lead by example on the shop floor, supporting operators with training and cross‑functional skills.
• Champion QHSE standards, carrying out audits, inspections, safety tours and toolbox talks.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 45001, 9001 and 14001 standards.
• Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure the area is always "visit ready".
• Support training plans, ensuring operatives are trained across multiple processes.
• Communicate KPIs, coach team members and recognise strong performance.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and recommendations for promotions.

Experience and Attributes

Essential:

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GA layouts
• Understanding of BOMs
• Mechanical assembly experience including torque settings and fastening methods
• Awareness of hydraulics and pneumatic's
• Experience in high‑paced manufacturing
• Strong quality inspection skills and a keen eye for detail

Desired:

• Knowledge of ISO standards
• IOSH Managing Safely
• LEAN / Six Sigma Green Belt
• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Manufacturing
