The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Production Planner to join our team and help drive operational excellence in our bakery. Responsibilities include:

  • Direct and coordinate the manufacturing process to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Build daily, weekly, and 7-day production plans that optimise resources, capacity, and cost.
  • Act as the key link between departments, ensuring clear communication and excellent customer service.
  • Monitor stock levels, reduce waste, and maintain >99.5% customer service levels.
  • Support product trials, promotions, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Analyse data, spot trends, and recommend opportunities for improvement.

The Ideal Candidate

We welcome candidates who are passionate about working together to achieve greatness. As a valued member of our team, you will bring the following skills and experience:

  • Previous planning or scheduling experience (ideally in food manufacturing).
  • Strong knowledge of planning methods, Excel (advanced level), and planning systems (Aurora/System 21 desirable).
  • Numerate and literate (GCSE standard or above).
  • Sharp attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • A team player who communicates effectively and drives continuous improvement.
