Employment: Full Time | 42.5 hours per week | Permanent

Location: Creation Group, 66 Wentworth St, London E1 7BB

Creation Group is a full service Brand Experience group. We are expanding our Projects team with exceptional talent that has a passion for bringing unforgettable experiences to life. At Creation Group, we’re looking for a dynamic and detail-orientated Technical Project Manager to join our fast-paced team. You’ll be at the heart of some of the most ambitious brand experiences in the industry. You will thrive under pressure, love solving complex challenges and get a buzz from seeing your hard work come to life on-site.

What you will be responsible for:

As a Technical Project Manager you will be coordinating, planning and executing an exciting portfolio of projects and activations. The hands-on role will require working across multiple projects simultaneously ensuring that projects are planned and executed to company and client standards in a compliant and industry-leading way.

The role requires the candidate to be proficient in:

  • Acting as the ‘glue’ between internal teams (Production, Operations, Design, Sales) and key suppliers to take projects from ideation to reality
  • Undertaking detailed site visits and communicating key information back to internal project teams and suppliers
  • Working with Production and/or external suppliers to select and document the correct ‘solution’ for each project, creating detailed project schedules and briefs
  • Being client facing and contributing to client meetings; articulating why proposed solutions are correct, helping to provide justification on cost line items, and working with dynamic client requests
  • Producing, managing and maintaining detailed project specifications, schedules and budgets for all elements of a project and a wider suite of projects
  • Supplier selection, specification, negotiation and ongoing management based on specific project requirements
  • Procurement of client inventory and creation of associated manuals and PPM documents
  • Calculating and planning crew, logistical plans and team briefs in conjunction with the internal Transport and Logistics team - this includes technical crew, local crew and vehicles
  • Producing and defining health and safety documentation using industry software
  • On site production management, alongside Lead Installers and Crew, during install, live and strike of projects
  • Implementing and maintaining quality control processes to ensure all projects meet design specifications and quality standards
  • Producing and communicating project status reports
  • Engaging in client development processes via account teams and inputting towards pitches and proposals for new business
  • Contributing towards and help maintain a central supplier database

What we are looking for:

The successful candidate will be required to satisfy the following key requirements:

  • Willingness and ability to travel and work anti-social hours as defined by project and client requirements
  • 5+ years of event production / project management
  • Strong working knowledge of A/V, rigging and scenic production methods and associated materials and equipment, with an ability to recognise and acknowledge suitable products and suppliers
  • Track record of project managing high-quality, complex, and production-heavy installations from design and planning through to onsite delivery. This includes budget and schedule management
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and creative teams, as well as being able to ‘speak their language’
  • Knowledge of relevant H&S legislation and how this influences and defines project planning and execution
  • Comfortable working to tight deadlines and effectively managing them across the entire project team
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience of managing staff and crew both in an office and on-site live environment
  • Full driving licence

Preferable Additions:

  • Relevant safety, project management and event centric qualification(s)
  • Proficiency across SketchUp or Vectorworks
  • Knowledge of the Aluvision modular system

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Annual Bonus Scheme based on Company and personal performance
  • 28 days (including Bank Holidays) that will increase by 1 day per annum up to a maximum of 38 days
  • Enhanced Parental, Family and Special Leave
  • Macbook and IT equipment/ancillaries as required
  • Skills & training opportunities
