Associate, Production Finance

Location: London, UK

Rate: £288.46 per day

Hours: 9am-6pm

Overview

The Production Finance team at our client is responsible for estimating, managing, and providing insights on production costs throughout the entire lifecycle of each project. The team partners with various stakeholders, including Production Management, Tax, VFX, Music, and third-party production companies, ensuring compliance with our client’s financial standards, UK laws, and government regulations. This role supports the UK slate, coordinating with production partners and managing inbound self-managed shows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Budget Management & Financial Reporting: Analyze and review production budgets and cost reports throughout the project lifecycle; communicate with third-party production companies to track financial variances and address discrepancies.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Align with studio stakeholders to manage production processes and implement cost controls; serve as a liaison between production partners and internal teams.
  • Guidance & Training: Guide third-party production accounting teams in reporting requirements; support partners in implementing procedures.
  • Compliance & Local Financial Regulations: Ensure compliance with UK laws, local production practices, and government regulations; maintain knowledge of payroll, tax, banking, and invoicing processes specific to the UK.
  • Process Innovation & Improvement: Identify and suggest workflow improvements; seek innovative solutions to enhance processes.
Experience & Skills
  • 5+ years of finance experience in film, TV, production, or media sectors.
  • Familiarity with production workflows, budgeting, and cost reporting.
