Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers is offering a full‑time Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship in London. You will learn on the job under passionate chefs while working toward a nationally recognised qualification. No prior experience is needed; training covers all kitchen basics and safety standards.

You will gain practical skills, support running the kitchen, and qualify for progression as you complete the apprenticeship over 15 months.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Work-based training with a mentor on site.
• Functional Skills in English and Maths offered if GCSE or equivalent not present.
• Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Learner Coach.

Responsibilities

• Communicate openly with the team to ensure outstanding food and service.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute insights.
• Prepare, cook and present food quickly and safely to brand standards.
• Handle guest queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Set up and close down the department including stock rotation and prep.
• Keep up to date with promotions and new products.
• Complete required training modules and adhere to brand standards and policies.
