Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers plc is offering a Production Chef Level 2 Apprenticeship, a full-time kitchen role supervised by experienced chefs. The 15-month training leads to a nationally recognised qualification while you support kitchen operations and ensure quality for guests.

You will learn through a blend of on-the-job training and mentor support, with opportunities to progress within the brand across 19 brands and 1600 sites.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required, training provided.
• Demonstrates passion for cooking and willingness to learn.
• Committed to working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Communicate openly with the team to deliver outstanding food and service.
• Attend team meetings and contribute insights.
• Prepare, cook and present food quickly, safely and to brand standards.
• Address guest queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Keep kitchen and back-of-house areas clean and organized.
• Set up and close down the department, including stock rotation and prep.
• Keep up to date with promotions and new products.
• Complete training modules and e-learning.
• Adhere to brand standards, licensing laws and company policies.
• Complete all daily and weekly documentation.
