Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) near Abingdon, Oxfordshire is seeking a Mechanical Production Assembler to support the assembly of mechanical items alongside broader warehouse and production tasks. You will assemble units, test them, and help with related duties in a factory environment.

The role requires a clean driving licence, a readiness to work to deadlines, and physical fitness. CCNSG is desirable; prior production assembly or vehicle maintenance experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Ability to assemble mechanical units to production orders accurately.
• Capable of testing and correcting assembled units.
• Willingness to work overtime to meet deadlines.
• Clean driving licence required.
• CCNSG qualification preferred.
• Experience with production assembly of mechanical products or car maintenance.
• Interest or experience in industrial drive systems.
• Comfort working under operational demands in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble units according to production orders.
• Test units and implement corrections as needed.
• Carry out service work on customer units when required.
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as packing, labeling and unloading shipments.
• Support additional tasks from Operations Manager to meet business needs.
• Follow company policies and fire and health & safety regulations.

Job description

My client near Abingdon, Oxfordshire is hiring a Mechanical Production Assembler to support the assembly of mechanical items alongside wider warehouse and production needs.

What you'll be doing:

• Assemble units accurately in line with production orders
• Test assembled units and make corrections as required
• Carry out service work on customer units when
• Help with warehouse tasks if required, including packing, labelling, unloading shipments, and keeping the area tidy
• Support other reasonable tasks requested by the Operations Manager/Company Management to meet business needs
• Follow company policies and stay aware of Fire and Health & Safety Regulations

What you'll bring:

• A clean driving licence
• A willingness to work to deadlines, including extra hours if needed
• Physical fitness for a hands‑on production environment
• CCNSG holder desirable
• Previous experience in production assembly of a mechanical product or car maintenance/repair
• Interest or experience in industrial drive systems
• Confidence working consistently under operational demands

Salary offered is £33 - £36k, pension, Bupa healthcare and all PPE supplied.

Monday to Friday, hours are 8am - 5pm with an earlier Friday finish at 4pm

Occasional work away from Abingdon may be required, including overnight stays.
