Job summary

TRC Yorkshire is seeking Assembly Operatives to join a leading manufacturing team in Stourport. You will work in a busy workshop environment responsible for assembling components according to drawings or customer requirements, with a focus on quality finishes and safety.

The role requires experience with hand and power tools, the ability to read engineering drawings, and reliable communication within a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical assembly in a workshop or manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality finishes in a workshop environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• General inspection of components.
• Assemble metal stands and components using hand/power tools.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to meet specs.
• Manufacture or assemble components as per drawings or customer requirements and SOPs.
• Report defective tooling or fixtures to prevent production delays.

Job description

We are currently hiring Assembly Operatives to join a leading manufacturer. You will be in a busy workshop environment and responsible for the manufacture or assembly of components in accordance with drawings or customers’ requirements

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm Friday 7am-1pm

Rate: £12.71

Type: Temp to perm

Location: Stourport, DY13

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering high-quality finishes in a workshop environment while maintaining excellent safety and quality standards.
• General inspection
• Using hand/power tools such as drills, mallets, screwdrivers etc to assemble metal stands and components for conveyors
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Responsible for the manufacture or assembly of components in accordance with drawings or customers’ requirements and SOP’s
• Advising Department Section Leader of defective tooling, jigs or fixtures or manufacturing problems that prevent production targets being achieved.

Requirements:

• Previous mechanical assembly experience.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Reliability and good communication skills.
• Ability to understand engineering drawings.
• Ideally candidates will have their own means of transport to allow for occasional movement between sites, as the business needs.
