Job summary

Pertemps is seeking an experienced Production Assembler in the Dudley area. You will join a skilled team to assemble products, reading work instructions and drawings, and ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling products accurately in line with customer specs and targets.
  • Using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Reading and following work instructions and drawings as required.
  • Carrying out quality inspections to meet company standards.
  • Identifying and reporting faults or issues during assembly.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, organized workspace and adhering to HSE policies.
  • Completing manual handling tasks and collaborating with colleagues.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm

The Role – Assembler

As a Production Assembler, you will play an important role in the assembly and manufacture of products, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Assembling products accurately and efficiently in line with customer specifications and production targets
  • Using a range of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
  • Reading and following work instructions, drawings, and production guidelines where required
  • Carrying out quality inspections to ensure products meet company standards
  • Identifying and reporting any faults, defects, or issues during the assembly process
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environmentFollowing all company policies, procedures, and strict health and safety regulations
  • Completing manual handling tasks as required
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team production goals
The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working within a manufacturing, production, or assembly environment. You will be a reliable and motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

You will have:

  • Previous experience as a Production Assembler, Assembly Operative, Manufacturing Operative, or similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • The ability to follow instructions and work to production requirements
  • A willingness to learn new skills and develop within the business

Previous experience using hand tools, power tools, or working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous.
