Qualifications

  • Commitment to health and safety and PPE usage.
  • Desirable: qualification in manufacturing/engineering.
  • Desirable: health and safety or manufacturing process training.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components and sub-assemblies according to work instructions and specs.
  • Carry out mechanical assembly tasks with correct fit and alignment.
  • Use hand tools and basic workshop equipment safely to complete assembly.
  • Perform quality checks during and after assembly to meet required standards.
  • Identify and report defects or issues promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workstation (5S).
  • Complete production documentation including batch/traceability records.
  • Follow health and safety procedures and PPE usage.
  • Support continuous improvement to improve efficiency and quality.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assemble components and sub-assemblies accurately in line with work instructions and build specifications.

  • Identify and report defects, non-conformities, or assembly issues promptly to the relevant team.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workstation in line with 5S and housekeeping expectations.
  • Follow health and safety procedures, including safe working practices and correct PPE usage.
  • Support continuous improvement by suggesting practical ways to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Complete production documentation accurately, including batch/traceability records where required.
Required Skills andamp; Qualifications
  • Previous experience in an assembly or production environment (manufacturing or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight tolerances and clear instructions.
  • Competence using hand tools and basic workshop equipment safely and accurately.
  • Good understanding of quality principles, including in-process checks and defect identification.
  • Ability to read and follow technical documentation such as work instructions and assembly procedures.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical assembly methods and correct component handling.
  • Good communication skills and a team-focused approach to working on the shop floor.
  • Commitment to health and safety, including following risk controls and using PPE correctly.
  • Willingness to learn and develop, with a proactive attitude towards continuous improvement.
  • Relevant qualification in manufacturing, engineering, or a related discipline (desirable).
  • Any recognised training in health and safety or manufacturing processes (desirable).
