Job summary

TRCGroup is seeking Assembly Operatives for a busy workshop environment. You will assemble or manufacture components according to drawings and customer requirements, with responsibilities including inspection and tool use to ensure safety and quality.

This temp-to-perm role offers a daytime schedule in Stourport with a rate of £12.71 per hour. Candidates with own transport are preferred for occasional site movement.

Qualifications

• Previous mechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Reliable with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality finishes in a workshop environment while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• General inspection of assembled components.
• Use hand/power tools to assemble metal stands and components for conveyors.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure correct assembly.
• Manufacture or assemble components in accordance with drawings or SOPs.

We are currently hiring Assembly Operatives to join a leading manufacturer. You will be in a busy workshop environment and responsible for the manufacture or assembly of components in accordance with drawings or customers' requirements

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm Friday 7am-1pm

Rate:£12.71

Type: Temp to perm

Location: Stourport, DY13

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering high-quality finishes in a workshop environment while maintaining excellent safety and quality standards.
• General inspection
• Using hand/power tools such as drills, mallets, screwdrivers etc to assemble metal stands and components for conveyors
• Read and interpret engineering drawings
• Responsible for the manufacture or assembly of components in accordance with drawings or customers' requirements and SOP's
• Advising Department Section Leader of defective tooling, jigs or fixtures or manufacturing problems that prevent production targets being achieved.
• Assistance in working for other departments when necessary.

Requirements:

• Previous mechanical assembly experience.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Reliability and good communication skills.
• Ability to understand engineering drawings.
• Ideally candidates will have their own means of transport to allow for occasional movement between sites, as the business needs.
