Job summary

A mechanical production assembler is needed near Abingdon, Oxfordshire. You will assemble units to production orders and test them, with occasional service on customer units and warehouse duties included.

The role operates Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, finishing earlier on Fridays, with occasional overnight travel. Salary £33–£36k plus pension, Bupa healthcare and PPE supplied.

Qualifications

• Experience in production assembly of mechanical products or car maintenance/repair.
• Ability to assemble units to production orders and test them.
• Interest or experience in industrial drive systems.

Responsibilities

• Assemble units accurately in line with production orders.
• Test assembled units and make corrections as required.
• Carry out service work on customer units when needed.
• Help with warehouse tasks including packing, labelling, unloading shipments, and keeping area tidy.
• Support other tasks requested by Operations Manager to meet business needs.
• Follow company policies and health & safety regulations.

My client near Abingdon, Oxfordshire is hiring a Mechanical Production Assembler to support the assembly of mechanical items alongside wider warehouse and production needs.

What you'll be doing:

• Assemble units accurately in line with production orders
• Test assembled units and make corrections as required
• Carry out service work on customer units when
• Help with warehouse tasks if required, including packing, labelling, unloading shipments, and keeping the area tidy
• Support other reasonable tasks requested by the Operations Manager/Company Management to meet business needs
• Follow company policies and stay aware of Fire and Health & Safety Regulations

What you'll bring:

• A willingness to work to deadlines, including extra hours if needed
• Physical fitness for a hands‑on production environment
• Previous experience in production assembly of a mechanical product or car maintenance/repair
• Interest or experience in industrial drive systems
• Confidence working consistently under operational demands
